Descripción del Tour:

Our walking tour kicks off at our offices situated in the heart of the San Telmo neighborhood, one of the oldest and most culturally rich areas in Buenos Aires, famous for its lively tango and arts scene. We will head south along Defensa Street to explore the antique markets and appreciate the distinctive architecture, featuring iconic "faroles" public lighting, cobblestone streets, historic buildings, and period decorations.

Our journey leads us to Lezama Park, known for its tree-lined paths, amphitheater, and the slope descending toward Martín García and Paseo Colón avenues.

Exiting the park, we will walk two blocks to arrive at the southern tip of Puerto Madero, where we will cross the dock and stroll along the opposite shore of the city. This neighborhood is the most modern in Buenos Aires, featuring skyscrapers, upscale restaurants, and hotels. We will reach the Puente de la Mujer (Women's Bridge), a unique rotating bridge designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, symbolizing a couple dancing tango.

Crossing the bridge, we will continue our walk along the opposite shore to reach Belgrano Avenue. Turning onto Paseo Colón Avenue, and after three blocks, we will arrive at the historic Plaza de Mayo. Here, we can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and observe the Cabildo (colonial town hall) and the Casa Rosada (Pink House), the seat of the executive branch. Our guide will share insights into the numerous historical and social events that have occurred in this iconic location.

On the opposite side of the square, we will take Diagonal Norte, a significant thoroughfare connecting the Judicial Power (Supreme Court) with the Executive Power (Casa Rosada). Our destination is the renowned Obelisco de Buenos Aires, a city icon located in the center of Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world.

We will cross this avenue and continue along it until, after two blocks, we reach the Colon Theater. This opera house is celebrated as one of the top five in the world for its size, acoustics, and historical significance.

If you've chosen to visit the Colon Theater, we will conclude our tour with a guided exploration of this magnificent venue. We will enter the theater to join our guide and a small group of visitors. Together, we'll explore the Auditorium, the Main Foyer, the Busts Gallery, and the Golden Hall, all showcasing exquisite architectural details, staircases, sculptures, ceilings, and stained glass. After a 50-minute visit, the tour concludes at the theater's entrance.

For those opting to visit the MALBA, located opposite the theater, we will board a bus to travel to the Palermo neighborhood, home to the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires). Established in September 2001, the museum's mission is to collect, preserve, study, and promote Latin American art from the early 20th century to the present. It hosts a collection of approximately 400 works by the region's leading modern and contemporary artists. The tour concludes with entry to the museum, allowing you to explore at your own pace and appreciate each exhibition room.

Alternatively, you can choose the tour option that includes visits to both locations. In this scenario, you will enter the Colon Theater for a guided tour, then proceed with your guide to the MALBA. After providing your museum ticket, the tour ends at this location.
