Our journey begins at 2:30pm, as we collect all participants from their accommodations. The first destination is Avenida 9 de Julio and the Recoleta district. While comfortably seated in our climate-controlled minivan, we'll delve into the history of Eva Perón. Upon reaching the Recoleta Cemetery, we'll spend some time exploring and learning about its famous inhabitants. This guided tour will introduce you to the resting places of eminent figures in Argentina's history, such as Marcelo T. de Alvear, president from 1922 to 1928, and Raúl Alfonsín, Argentina's first democratically elected president post-military rule. The highlight of this tour is the mausoleum of Evita and her family.
Moving on, we'll discover the heart of Palermo, a neighborhood known for its bohemian charm and cutting-edge design. The area, known as Palermo Hollywood, is filled with film, television, and radio studios and was a major part of Jorge Luis Borges' life and literary works.
